Dr. Tamia Da Costa
Special interest in crown & bridge work and restorative dentistry.
Hi, my name is Tamia Da Costa, here is a little bit of information about myself so that you can get to know me.
I was born in South Africa and am 28 years of age. I grew up on a beautiful plot in a small town called Walkerville where I attended Aloe Ridge Primary School. Thereafter I completed high school at Aurora Private School in Honeydew in the year 2005.
When I was 12 years old I had orthodontic treatment done in the form of braces and from then on I had decided that I wanted to be a dentist. I absolutely loved the environment, and I was excited about the fact that I would have the opportunity to meet new people and to help them with their oral health. I also loved the idea that I would be working with my hands as I have quite a passion for all things artistic and after all dentistry is an art form in its own way.
My family and I then moved to Midrand where I lived whilst studying dentistry at the University of Pretoria. I graduated as a Dentist and as one of the top ten students in my class from the University in the year 2010. I completed my community service in a small town called Bethal in Mpumalanga in the year 2011.
Since then I have been working with doctors Tim and Rona Struwig. I have recently gotten married and am now living in the Northriding area. When I’m not working I enjoy spending time with my family and friends and of course my cute dogs. I also enjoy entertaining myself with all sorts of art projects.
I absolutely love my job and thoroughly enjoy all aspects of dentistry. I enjoy meeting people of all ages and my greatest goal when treating my patients is to help them to obtain and maintain a healthy mouth so that they can live healthy happy lives. I hope this helps you to get to know me a little bit and I look forward to meeting you!!
