Mrs. Monique de Beer
Physiotherapist and Life Coach
My name is Monique de Beer. I qualified as a physiotherapist at the University of Stellenbosch in 2000 and moved up to Johannesburg the day after graduation to meet up with my now husband, Tinus, whom I met while studying. He was already back in Johannesburg, his hometown, after being transferred by the company he was working for at the time.
I joined an orthopaedic practice in the South of Johannesburg, while at the same time starting work at a Nursing Home in Randburg, where I treated neurologically impaired patients after strokes and traumatic brain injuries.
My physiotherapy journey took on a life of its own after that, and I have been chief, cook and bottle washer in my own practice since 2003. In May this year I added “Qualified Inner Life Skills Life Coach” to my resume and have found this a fantastic compliment to my holistic treatment approach with my patients.
I have been married to Tinus de Beer for nearly 12 years now and we have two gorgeous children Anrique (9) and Kendra (7). We love the outdoors and enjoy camping, hiking, scuba diving and spending time together away from the hustle and bustle of town and all the electronic distractions it brings.
I believe I was born to do what I now do – helping people overcome physical and emotional obstacles in order to get back their personal power, wellness and wholeness. I see the body as one big puzzle…everything is connected.
I am looking forward to working together with a team of professionals with a passion for what they do and a genuine interest in the wellbeing of their clients.
